Flow switch type IV
Type IV flow switches are made of brass alloy and stainless steel, with pipe connection sizes DN40 (1/2″), DN32 (1/4″), or DN25 (1″). Inside the flow switch, there is a spring-loaded, calibrated disc. When fluid passes through, the disc is lifted, and the shaft supporting the disc is connected to a lever for mechanical transmission, causing the microswitch to be triggered at a preset flow value. Once the microswitch is triggered, it starts the pump or opens the valve. As the flow increases, the flow area also increases, and the increased flow can push the disc to the fully open position. The maximum flow is limited only by the pump's discharge capacity and the pressure drop acceptable for the specific application. Important applications: Dry pump protection, low flow alarm in cooling circuits, freeze protection for heating pump systems, heating protection tools in induction heating devices.
