After purchasing a flow meter from a flow meter manufacturer, it is still necessary to understand the installation aspects, otherwise successful installation cannot be achieved. There are many points to note during installation. Today, eletta will specifically introduce what to pay attention to when installing a flow meter from a flow meter manufacturer.
1. Regarding the installation of the flow meter transducer. There are generally two methods for installing the transducer: the Z-type installation method and the V-type installation method. Both methods have their own advantages and disadvantages. When choosing, flow meter manufacturers usually recommend making a reasonable choice based on the actual situation. Generally, during calibration, the V-type installation method is chosen because this method has advantages; it can significantly improve the flow meter's range and also helps enhance the accuracy of the flow meter.
2. When using the V-type installation method, flow meter manufacturers recommend adding slides between the transducers to keep the two transducers horizontal, thereby improving the symmetry of the installation and maximizing control of the pipeline range. In contrast, the Z-type installation method cannot control the range of the two transducers within a plane, resulting in some errors.
3. Regarding the treatment of the inside of the pipe. If the flow meter transducer uses the V-type installation method, during calibration, due to the lack of management inside the pipe, there may be a relatively thick layer of scale, which will cause the signal detection effect to be lower. In this case, the Z-type installation method should be used.
When installing the flow meter, you can choose the appropriate method according to the above content. If it is during calibration, the Z-type installation method should be used. For other situations, the V-type installation method can be used. You can consult the flow meter manufacturer for details.
