Many companies are now using orifice flow meters, and many of these are imported orifice flow meters. When using these devices, if a malfunction is discovered, it is important to understand how to handle it. Below, Ailita Instruments will provide a detailed explanation of how to deal with malfunctions in imported orifice flow meters.
1. After discovering a malfunction in the imported orifice flow meter, the first step is to check if there is a problem with its selection. An orifice flow meter consists of three parts: a standard orifice plate, a transmitter, and a pressure tapping line. It is also necessary to understand its measurement range. By checking its structural diagram and performing multiple calculations with the manufacturer, it can be determined whether there is a problem with the selection.
2. If the imported orifice flow meter is not installed correctly, it may also malfunction. In this case, it is necessary to check its installation status, such as whether the heights of the positive and negative pressure condensers are consistent, whether the overflow port is higher than the pressure tapping port, and whether the pressure tapping line is laid horizontally with a certain slope, etc. After inspection, it can be determined whether there is a problem with the installation.
3. By checking the three-valve group, orifice plate, and condenser of the imported orifice flow meter, it can be determined whether the equipment has a problem. After the above elimination method, determine whether the differential pressure transmitter has a problem. The specific method is to directly install the differential pressure gauge at the pressure tapping port of the orifice plate to see if the measured differential pressure is consistent with the differential pressure measured by the differential pressure transmitter directly installed at the pressure tapping port. Then, we can confirm whether the differential pressure transmitter has a malfunction by observing the change in steam flow.
The above introduces how to solve the problem of malfunctions in imported orifice flow meters. The first thing to do is to perform an inspection to determine where the abnormality is. Only after finding the cause of the problem can it be correctly solved. If you have any questions, please consult Ailita Instruments.
