Flow meters are now widely used, so there are more and more flow meter manufacturers in society. When choosing a flow meter, in addition to choosing a regular flow meter manufacturer, you also need to understand the common problems and solutions during the use of the flow meter. Today, let's introduce the common problems in using flow meters in detail.
1. What kind of environment should the flow meter be installed in? When installing the flow meter, it is necessary to ensure that the installation site is free from strong vibrations, and it is also necessary to choose a place that is easy to maintain and convenient to operate; in addition, it is also necessary to stay away from equipment with strong electromagnetic fields, such as large transformers and motors.
2. What's the matter if the display fluctuates by more than 10% during the operation of the flow meter? There are mainly two reasons for this. One is that the fluid does not completely fill the entire pipe during horizontal installation, and the other is that there is a grounding fault. Therefore, flow meter manufacturers suggest that during installation, the fluid should completely fill the entire pipe, and correct grounding should be carried out.
3. What causes the flow meter display to jump during operation? This is caused by multiple factors. One is that the electrode is completely or severely covered by an insulating object; the other is that leakage occurs at the electrode, which reduces the insulation capacity of the electrode to the ground; and another is pulsating flow.
4. What are the requirements for the medium when installing the flow meter vertically? The flow meter manufacturer recommends ensuring that the medium flows from bottom to top, and the measuring tube must be filled with medium when passing through the transmitter.
The above introduces the common problems in using flow meters. When using flow meters, you need to pay special attention to these aspects. At the same time, when choosing flow meters, you also need to consider factors such as pressure, diameter, range, temperature, and electrode material. The most important point is to choose a reliable flow meter manufacturer.
