A soil pressure sensor is a sensor used in soil mechanics research and for detecting soil pressure. It features stable current output, high detection accuracy, and low cost, making it applicable in many fields. So, how does a soil pressure sensor work? Today, eletta will give you a detailed introduction.
A soil pressure sensor consists of many parts, such as an electrical detection system assembly, connecting head, diaphragm, detection head mounting, and detection head piston. These components all play different roles and are indispensable, forming a complete structure. During operation, the detection head piston of the soil pressure sensor is subjected to a certain amount of pressure, causing the piston to displace. This displacement compresses the synthetic oil in the sealed chamber formed by the detection head mounting and connecting head, generating pressure in the synthetic oil.
After the synthetic oil is subjected to a certain pressure, it acts on the diaphragm, causing a slight displacement. The magnitude of this displacement is proportional to the pressure of the synthetic oil. After the diaphragm is displaced, the resistance value of the resistor inside the electrical detection system assembly changes. When a certain voltage is input, the current changes. This change in current value is converted into a current signal representing the soil pressure at the soil bin or the discharge port of the screw conveyor.
The diaphragm of the soil pressure sensor is made of two different materials: ceramic and stainless steel. It can measure the pressure, static pressure, and absolute pressure during soil pressure measurement with high sensitivity.
From the above content, we have understood the working principle of the soil pressure sensor. It is a very sensitive measuring device, and the pressure it measures can be converted into current or voltage signals. If you need a soil pressure sensor, you can consult eletta.
