Target flow switch
Target flow switch It includes a vane system, with a permanent magnet at the other end. Above this magnet is a reed switch, located outside the fluid flow. Additionally, the G&L flow switch has another magnet with the same magnetic properties, generating a force to reset the switch to the no-flow position.

Target flow switch The characteristics are as follows:
1. The sensing element has no moving parts, resulting in a robust and simple structure;
2. Target flow switches have a wide range of applications and adaptability. They can be used with fluid media in general industrial processes, including liquids, gases, and steam, with a wide range of diameters (DN15 and above) and operating conditions (pressure, temperature). It has a similar application range to the most widely used orifice plate flow meter;
3. High accuracy, total measurement can reach 0.2%R;
4. It can solve difficult flow measurement problems, such as measuring dirty fluids containing impurities (particles): crude oil, sewage, high-temperature residual oil, caustic soda solution, asphalt, etc.;
5. It can be used with small diameters (DN15-DN50) and low Reynolds number fluids, compensating for situations where standard throttling devices are difficult to apply.
6. It can measure the flow rate of bidirectional flow fluids.
7. Low pressure loss, approximately half that of a standard orifice plate.
8. Strong resistance to upstream flow resistance components, and a straight pipe section length of 5-10D is generally sufficient upstream;
9. Dry (hanging weight) calibration can be used, making periodic calibration convenient for users.
10. The direct-reading instrument requires no external power source, is clear and easy to understand, and is easy to operate. It can also output standard signals (pulse frequency or current signals).
11. The instrument is moderately priced and offers a high performance-to-price ratio.
12. High-velocity impact on the target plate generates vortices, causing oscillations in the output signal and affecting signal stability. Therefore, it should be used cautiously for high-velocity measurement objects.
Target flow switch It is a type of mechanical flow switch, also known as a vane flow switch. When fluid impacts the vane, the vane swings, changing the relative position of the magnet and the reed switch, activating the switch to close or open. Once the fluid flow is interrupted, the vane returns to its initial position, again activating the reed switch. The mutual repulsion of the two magnets provides the force required to reset the flow switch, and the switch returns to its previous state.
