Electromagnetic flow meters are a widely used type of flow meter, used in many fields. They come in many varieties, so when purchasing, it's important to choose the right type. Today, Ailita Instrument Company will introduce the common types of electromagnetic flow meters.
1. Classified by application, electromagnetic flow meters come in hygienic and submersible types. Hygienic types are mainly used in the biochemical, pharmaceutical, food, and dairy industries. Submersible types are mainly used for industrial wastewater and sewage, measuring the flow rate of free-flowing water in open channels or partially full conduits. Large-diameter flange connections are generally used in industrial applications.
2. Classified by the connection method between the flow sensor and the pipe, there are flange connection and flange clamp connection types. Flange connection is a more traditional connection method. Generally, the two ends of the sensor are connected to flanges, and the connection between the sensor flanges and the pipe flanges is secured using bolts. This can be installed unidirectionally. Large-diameter electromagnetic flow meter sensors generally use flange connections; flange clamp connection is a new connection method. The electromagnetic flow meter sensor itself does not have a flange; it uses longer bolts to clamp it between the two flanges of the pipe and then connect it to the pipe system.
3. According to the assembly method of the converter and the sensor, it can be divided into split-type and integrated-type electromagnetic flow meters. The former is more commonly used, with the sensor connected to the pipe and the converter installed near the sensor or in the instrument room where it is easily accessible. The latter has the sensor and converter assembled together, directly outputting a standard current signal.
The above introduces the classification of electromagnetic flow meters. There are many types of electromagnetic flow meters. The more familiar ones are split-type and integrated-type electromagnetic flow meters. They each have their own specific advantages, such as the integrated type, which can shorten the connection length of the signal line and excitation line.
