Target flow switches have many advantages, such as high pressure resistance, repeatable switching, and instant response. Their on/off state is determined solely by flow rate, independent of temperature and pressure. So, what is the working principle of a target flow switch? Let's take a closer look.
In the structure of a target flow switch, magnetic force replaces the usual spring leaf to provide the force needed for blade return. This makes the flow switch more stable and durable, and less sensitive to pressure peaks. Target flow switches primarily detect the flow rate of unidirectional or bidirectional air, water, and oil. The medium cannot contain winding debris. The working principle is as follows:
When fluid passes through the pipe, it causes the baffle to deflect. By adjusting the bolts, the SPDT microswitch can be activated at a set flow rate, thus outputting a switch signal. During bidirectional detection, baffle offset pushes the magnetic module upward, causing the switch module to activate.
When fluid rushes against the vane, the vane swings, changing the relative position of the magnet and spring leaf contact. This triggers the contact to open or close. Once the fluid is interrupted, the vane returns to its original position, again activating the spring leaf contact. The mutual repulsion of the two magnets provides the force needed for the target flow switch to reset, restoring the contact to its previous state.
From the above, we understand the working principle of a target flow switch. Target flow switches have many advantages: a wide setting range and easy adjustment. Therefore, they are widely used in the measurement of air, water, and oil media.
