1. Dial gauge pointer does not move or respond:
■ Is the orifice flow meter installed correctly? Check the arrow on the outside of the pipe section according to the actual flow direction, and check the arrow of the internal converter of the flow meter, which should be consistent with the actual direction. If not consistent, please contact the manufacturer to replace the converter to ensure consistency.
■ Is there a medium flowing in the pipeline? Can the medium flow meet the flow rate and pressure when the flow meter was ordered? If not, please provide the conditions that meet the use of this flow meter.
■ Is there any air resistance in the pipeline? If so, please first exhaust the gas in the pipeline to ensure that the medium fills the pipe and flows unidirectionally.
■ Check whether the flow rate of the transported fluid reaches the minimum flow rate on the instrument label. If not, please adjust the valve size to increase the flow rate and see if the instrument pointer starts to indicate normally.
2. Orifice flow meter display or reading is inaccurate:
■ Does the installation of the orifice flow meter meet the requirements shown in the manual? Check according to the important installation notes. If not, please correct it.
■ Is the orifice plate size appropriate? Check the printed value (pipe section model and flow rate) on the orifice plate. If the size is incorrect or the value is wrong, please replace the orifice plate.
■ Do the upstream and downstream of the orifice flow meter meet the requirements of 10D upstream and 5D downstream equal diameter straight pipe sections? Please check the pipeline process.
3. The pointer of the dial gauge swings or vibrates frequently left and right:
■ Check whether there is a pump, shut-off valve, or pipe reduction in front of the flow meter in the pipeline, causing frequent changes in flow velocity. If so, please modify the process to meet the flow meter installation requirements. See P2-P3 for details.
■ Check if there is strong vibration in the pipeline? If so, please fix the orifice flow meter pipe section.
■ Check if there is air resistance in the process pipe section? If so, please exhaust the gas out of the pipe and keep the medium filling the pipe and flowing.
4. The alarm point does not match the actual value:
■ Open the top cover (dial pointer type) or front cover (mechanical type without display) and check whether the alarm point position is consistent with the process parameters. Otherwise, it needs to be readjusted (see user manual P8 for details).
■ If you need to change the alarm point setting, please reset the alarm position according to the instructions on page 8.
■ Correctly connect the instrument electrical wiring according to page 6 of the user manual. If there is any problem, please consult the manufacturer.
