During daily production operations, if the orifice flow meter shows abnormalities or deviations, the instrument maintenance personnel should promptly determine whether it is caused by changes in process conditions, and then further determine whether it is caused by faults such as the differential pressure transmitter, three-valve assembly, or the orifice plate itself. First, if the measured medium is gas, the accumulated liquid in the pressure tapping pipe and differential pressure transmitter must be drained before using the imported orifice flow meter. If oil is to be measured, the water or gas in the system must be drained, and the medium must be allowed to fill the pipe. Before starting the measurement, all auxiliary joints, valves, and ferrules should be checked for leaks, especially for zero drift.
Second, as you know, in the cold winter, for media with a relatively low freezing point, when using an imported orifice flow meter, you need to prepare in advance for pipe insulation and heating to avoid inaccurate measurements. Low temperatures can easily cause condensation of the medium in the pressure tapping pipe, which can seriously affect the measurement. This operation also ensures that the flow meter does not malfunction.
Third, it is also necessary to regularly check whether the design parameters of the imported orifice flow meter are consistent with the actual parameters, especially whether its measurement range meets its accuracy requirements.
