The purpose of daily inspection of electromagnetic flowmeters is to ensure their normal operation. There are two types of daily inspection methods: online inspection and offline inspection, which can verify whether their flow values meet the metering requirements. The traditional inspection method is to remove the flow sensor, inspect and clean the pipeline, and then perform flow calibration. To reduce liner damage caused by the removal and installation of the flow sensor, we can first measure the insulation resistance and other parameters on the pipeline to check for any abnormalities before deciding whether to remove the pipeline for inspection or perform actual flow calibration.
Generally, qualified enterprises perform inspections according to the following methods: one-third for online inspection, one-third for offline flow calibration, and one-third for pipeline removal, inspection, and cleaning. When inspecting the connecting cables, check the continuity and insulation resistance of each core of the excitation line, the condition of the signal line, and whether the grounding of each shield layer is intact, etc.
