Orifice flowmeter is a common throttling flow instrument, with a simple structure and convenient maintenance. It is a new type of flowmeter that can detect flow, temperature, and pressure, and can perform automatic temperature and pressure compensation. It is widely used in industries such as petroleum, metallurgy, chemical industry, electric power, heating, and water supply. So, what should be paid attention to when using imported orifice flowmeters? Let Ailita Instrument's editor introduce it in detail.
Firstly, if gas needs to be measured, when using an imported orifice flowmeter, it is necessary to drain the accumulated liquid from the impulse tubing and differential pressure transmitter. However, for oil measurement, it is necessary to (1) drain water and gas from the measurement system and ensure the medium fills the pipeline; simultaneously check all auxiliary joints, valves, and ferrules for leaks, and whether the zero point has drifted. This means that different measured media require different usage methods.
Secondly, attention should also be paid to the installation environment of imported orifice flowmeters, because if the environment is harsh, regular waterproof inspections are required for parts like the junction box, and it is necessary to prevent water from entering wiring terminals and circuit boards, which could cause instrument failure or fluctuations. Also, regularly check the differential pressure transmitter for zero point drift. Only by doing this work well can the flowmeter avoid various problems during use.
Thirdly, accumulated water and dirt before and after the orifice plate also need to be cleaned regularly, and if the orifice plate is rusted, it needs to be replaced promptly. In addition, different measured media have different flow rates, so the selected orifice plate size will also be different.
In summary, when using imported orifice flowmeters, paying attention to the above content, especially understanding their installation environment and usage methods, can effectively extend their service life.
