A target flow switch is a device capable of controlling flow. It offers advantages such as high-pressure resistance, immediate response, and repeatable switching. Its on/off state is solely dependent on flow rate, independent of pressure or temperature. Many are unfamiliar with the working principle of a target flow switch; therefore, Ailita Instrument Company will detail its operating principle.
1. Target flow switches primarily detect the unidirectional or bidirectional flow of water, oil, air, etc. During detection, ensure the medium is free of winding debris. When fluid flows through the pipe, the baffle deflects. By adjusting the adjusting bolt, the switch operates at the set flow rate, outputting a switch signal; during bidirectional detection, baffle deflection pushes the magnetic module upward, driving the switch module to operate.
2. Target flow switches utilize fluid flow to drive the vane, determining fluid flow within the tube. When the fluid is stationary, the spring presses the magnet down, the vane becomes vertical, and the reed switch remains inactive, with the contact in the normally open position. When fluid flows and the flow rate pushes the vane up 20-30 degrees, the vane's eccentric drive piece pushes the magnet upward. The magnet's attraction activates the reed switch, closing the contact. The vane length needs adjustment depending on the pipe diameter.
This explains the operating principle of a target flow switch, providing a comprehensive understanding of its operation. Vanes come in various lengths, suitable for different pipe diameters and flow rates. Consider this when selecting a switch.
