A target flow switch is a flow control device that can be used in lubricating oil systems or water cooling systems. It uses a target-type sensor and also has an alarm protection function. There are many things to note when using a target flow switch, so let's take a closer look today.
1. The target flow plate of the target flow switch is subjected to long-term water pressure during prolonged use, causing it to bend and deform, making it easily damaged. Therefore, if the target flow switch is used in large chillers, maintenance work is required. The target flow plate should be replaced every two years and listed as a consumable in maintenance records.
2. If the target flow switch is installed on a small chiller and there is no dedicated maintenance personnel, it is generally difficult to detect faults in the target flow plate. Faults are only noticeable when the unit malfunctions. In addition, when air is present in the water system, the air will impact the target flow plate, reducing the flow rate and causing the target flow plate to reset instantly, sending incorrect flow information to the unit. To prevent this, the unit controller needs to delay processing the flow information.
3. If the target flow switch cannot accurately control the flow, it is mainly due to the insertion depth of the target flow plate, the water pressure at the installation location, and the pipe diameter, which directly affect its flow protection value. In this case, corrective measures should be taken.
The above introduces the precautions for using a target flow switch. When using a target flow switch, pay attention to these issues, regularly maintain the target flow switch, promptly detect faults, and quickly address them to extend the product's lifespan.
